Dear High School parents,
Time flies. It is only the third week in January and yesterday, 11th, 10th and 9th graders started the process to choose their courses for 2019-2020 and the seniors started working on their Final CAS Presentations. As you have conversations with your sons and daughters about next year’s courses, please don’t hesitate to contact us when you have questions.
Good luck to our THIMUN delegates leaving on Friday to Europe! We know that they will represent Academia Cotopaxi well and that they will learn a lot during this MUN Conference.
The week of March 11th-15th we will be holding our “Mock Exams” for Seniors. This week we will simulate IB Exam testing conditions to the best of our ability. All students that are registered for an IB Exam in May will take a “Mock” for that course. This will also serve as their Semester 2 Final Exam for those courses. Here is the schedule and rules and procedures for mocks. Let Mr. Voeller know if you have any questions.
11th Grade Parents: If you have not had a chance to make an appointment with Mr. Wasser, please do so by emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our College Visit schedule for the spring semester is updated and you can find our calendar here.
For those of you interested in taking the SAT on March 9th (Registration deadline February 8), the ONE Institute will be offering SAT Preparation Courses starting February 4th. The classes will run from February 4th to February 28th, a total of 34 hours of instruction. Classes will take place from 3:40-5:40pm Monday through Thursday.
