It was wonderful to see all the families who came to Bingo night.  Thank you for contributing in positive ways to our learning community.  We have an array of learning opportunities coming up which are announced via newsletters and WhatsApp groups.  Please take advantage of the workshops and conversations to strengthen our common approach to the beautiful task of raising children.  This weekend, I was challenged by the title of an article that read, “Forget Screen Time Rules — Lean In To Parenting Your Wired Child.”   The author invites parents to connect with their children by interacting with the screen content that children are interested in, modeling behavior and decision making, and being present in their online lives.

I want to commend our families for engaging in new attitudes around family agreements around the use of technology and online practices in their homes.  Our continuous learning about what our children are exposed to and have access to, is critical to be able to guide their steps and strengthen our communication and overall relationship with our children. Parents of children in PK - 2 will be invited to a special workshop on Digital Safety and Habits on January 31.  Hope to see many of you there, RSVP.  If you do have wonderings, do not hesitate to contact us.

Inquiry Corner
As defined by the IBO, Risk Takers “approach uncertainty with forethought and determination; work independently and cooperatively to explore new ideas and innovative strategies; are resourceful and resilient in the face of challenges and change.”  This attribute is what students need to practice at this time of year, where students are tracking their progress, and setting goals to continue to grow.  What do you do to model being a responsible risk-taker?
