Parent Day in the Middle
The Middle School is delighted to offer Parent Day in the Middle. Join us on Wednesday, March 11 for a "deep dive" into the MS program, and an opportunity to experience MS classes. We will begin at 8:15 a.m. in the Library for a conversation about MS curriculum and our counseling program. We will then attend classes, and end the morning by coming together for a follow-up conversation. This event asks for a time commitment of 8:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Spaces are limited to 20 parents. You will receive an email confirmation if you are one of the 20. The presentation will be similar to the Parent Days in the Middle we have held in the past, with different classes to visit. Please use this form to sign up. Thank you!

Counselor’s Corner - Aubrey Jordan
Over the past couple of weeks in Cougar Time students have been learning skills for how to identify emotions, reduce stress and use effective communication to resolve conflicts. In mentor groups, students looked at different sides of a conflict to learn ways to actively listen, minimize escalating the conflict, and look at different perspectives to build empathy. These skills are not just related to peer conflict but for learning how to manage emotions, effectively communicate, and improve their relationships with adults as well. Hopefully you’ll see some of these skills being applied at home, and I encourage you to ask your child about the skills they have been learning in Cougar Time.

With kind regards,
