Our Discover Ecuador week was a great success. For the first time in years, we sent a group to the Galápagos. We also sent a group to the Amazon, in a women-led community and our group that went to Quilotoa continued our relationships with the community that we have supported through our Thanksgiving drives over the years.
The students who stayed at AC got involved in several community service opportunities like going to "Hogar Para Sus Niños" to spend quality time with kids less lucky than ours. Some students also decided to make a week long commitment to work with students and teachers at IMAGINE. Students also visited a dog shelter to walk and play with the dogs and we had a very successful art activity every afternoon who designed and painted meaningful symbols on some archways.
The Seniors had a great retreat with lots of important work done and it culminated with the annual Senior lock-in on Thursday night with a trivia (that teachers won…), some sports, video games, the good old UNO, smores by the fire pit and a short night.
Back to normal this week. Have a great one everyone!
