We celebrated the Swim Team yesterday during a special assembly in which Mr. Fuentes highlighted the relationship between hard work and results. As exams approach, this is a timely reminder that hard work pays dividends and that better results are within reach if your child puts in the time and effort. Semester exams are worth 20% of the final semester grade that will appear on each student’s transcript.

Our Exam Schedule is here.

Guidance Corner - Many thanks to the parents who met at the Anthony’s home last Friday morning to discuss safe practices for our students with regards to alcohol and drugs. This is a great initiative that we want to support for the health of our student body.

IB Corner -
Since IB courses are mostly based on exam performance (between 70 to 80% depending on the courses) semester exams are a good indication of future success. So, buckle up and do the best you can!

College Counseling Corner - Our final college visit of the calendar year occurred yesterday with Dalhousie University from Eastern Canada sharing their programs with a few interested students. The bulk of our visiting representatives visit in the Fall. This year we have had over 150 schools from the US, Canada and Europe visit Academia Cotopaxi.

Cougar’s Corner -
QISSA Games continue this week. On Tuesday AC faces Menor. Come on out and cheer on our squads!
