Below you will find information that all families find helpful when starting the school year at Academia Cotopaxi.

Dress Code

All students must abide by the school dress code. Here are the dress codes for each division:

Elementary School
Middle School
High School


BYOD or Bring Your Own Device at Academia Cotopaxi is applicable for Grades 3 - 12 (inclusive). Information regarding device and Grade Level Tech Requirements can be found here.

Medical Office

All students must annually update their health forms that include parents’ authorizations for the medical office to deliver/administer medications, a physical from a doctor to allow students to participate in middle school and high school sports and a list of updated vaccinations.

Age Requirements

Applicants must have reached their third or fourth birthday by October 1 for preschool, fifth birthday by October 1 for Kindergarten, sixth birthday by October 1 for Grade 1 and so on for the remaining grades.



Please email to start the application process and receive a check list of all the items required to start the application process. In some cases additional testing may be required. The school makes every effort to provide parents with a decision as quickly as possible. This usually takes one to two working days after the interview has been completed.


Required Enrollment Documents

Once an admission decision is made, we ask that you please submit in person or scan and email to the following documents to the Admissions Office, which are required to enroll and to attend classes:

  1.  Registration Contract
  2.  School Enrollment Insurance
  3.  Health Form
  4.  Self-Payer Form, if applicable

When you arrive in Quito, please submit to the Admissions Office the following documents if you have not done so during the admission process:

  1. Final report card/progress report of most recent completed school year. (Translated to English)
  2. Official high school transcripts with list of classes, credits hours and grades achieved (high school classes only.) (Translated to English)
  3. Coming from an international school: Legalized report cards.  Instructions.
  4. Coming from a local school: "Pases de año" and registration certificates (originals only) from "2do de básica".
  5. Copy of visa in passport.
  6. Two passport-size photos (if not yet submitted).
  7. New contact information.
