Administrative & Educational Support Positions


Director's Executive Assistant

Role: Enhances Director's effectiveness by providing quality information, time management, administrative support and working coordinately with all stakeholders. Due to the nature of this position, all matters are confidential.

Strategy, Vision and Leadership

  • Serve as the management liaison to the board and community.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the director informed of all critical issues.
  • Represent the organization externally, as necessary.

Team Development/Leadership

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Track the Professional Development process and support the logistics.


  • Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, standards, and procedures.
  • Support on planning, coordinating, and executing the annual Director’s budget.
  • Provide operational and analytical support in preparing Director’s report to the Board.
  • Compile and Display Key Performance Indicators
  • Improve administrative and operational services


  • Business, Legal or Administration degree mandatory, a master’s in business administration is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on related activities and responsibilities. Preferred with experience in Educational Institutions
  • Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.

Learning Support Program Assistant (TENTATIVE)

Assigned to work with specific Learning Support Specialists in specific divisions:

Collaborate, co-plan and co-teach with classroom teachers and Learning Support specialists to support needs of students within the LS program


  • Degree in Education (preferred)
  • At least 1 year experience working in field of Special Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient use of English and Spanish

Instructional Assistant Academia Cotopaxi

Enhance quality of education by providing professional and administrative support working coordinately with teachers,  ensuring security & care for students and working as an active team member to provide optimal learning environments for students in inclusive setting.


  • Teaching certificate completed preferred or related studies.
  • BA or Masters degree in education.
  • At least 1 year of experience working for bilingual schools or similar positions in educational institutions. PK & K preferred
  • Desirable experience in special education in multicultural environments.

Communication and coordination Skills, Planning & Organization, Writing & Verbal Communication, ability to create positive relationships with children.

    Academia Cotopaxi has been alerted by schools in various parts of the world that teachers seeking overseas employment have been approached by various individuals or groups running scams and requesting money.

    These individuals/groups claim to be a reputable school (or assume the identity of an existing, reputable school) and ask teachers and/or administrators seeking overseas employment to send them money to assist in the payment of a work visa, interview or application fees, plane tickets, or other recruitment related costs. Please know that no legitimate school will ask any teacher or administrator to pay them to obtain a job and/or work visa. If you have been asked by an international school to send money to cover such costs, you are probably the target of an elaborate scam. Be aware that these fraudulent activities seem to becoming more frequent. Do not send money or pass on banking information to any school seeking professionals to come work with them.

    All international candidates are urged to be diligent in investigating potential schools during the recruiting process and prior to signing a contract.
