Senior students will begin Mock Exams next week. These IB exams are given under the exact same conditions and expectations that they will encounter in May. Most IB Diploma Program schools provide mock exams for students as they really help students understand the experience and prepare them to do their best in May. Please help your Senior be well rested, well fed and ready for next week.
Counseling Corner - Do you ever wonder why adolescents think, react, and make decisions the way they do? This past week, our 9th, 10th, and 12th graders participated in a lesson on note taking skills and adolescent brain development. You can check out the video here. What do you think? What does your son or daughter think? Does this make you think any differently about how to problem solve with your kids?
Also, need a little dose of happiness? Check out this Month of Happiness calendar from Berkeley University.
IB Corner - IB Mock exams are coming next week (March 12th-16th). All Seniors taking IB exams in May will take the Mock Exams in March and will therefore be excused from class. Here is the schedule. This is excellent preparation for the final IB exams in May, so let’s do the best we can. Good luck!
Seniors who do not take any IB exams in May are expected to attend normal classes during that week.
College Counseling Corner - 11th grade parents, attached you will find the latest installment of the 11th Grade College Counseling Workshop. Next week 10th and 11th graders will focus on the communication skills necessary in order to have success at our College Fairs.
Have a great week!
