After a long, relaxing holiday weekend, the Middle School is jumping into an action filled few weeks ahead!
Middle School students will have their individual yearbook photos taken on Wednesday, November 8, during the school day. If a student is absent on Wednesday, the make-up photo day is Friday. The AC uniform (polo or sweatshirt) is required for all photos.
Our next MS Social is coming up on Friday, November 10, 6:00 - 8:00pm in the Gym. There will be dancing as well as ping-pong and other games. We do not have sports or after school activities on Fridays (except NASA club), thus students must leave campus after school and return at 6:00pm. Students are to be picked up at 8:00pm. Thank you in advance for your support with prompt drop off and pick ups on Friday. The Socials are for MS students only and are supervised by MS faculty. The last Social was a fun success and we hope for a repeat event!
Progress Reports, MAP results
MAP test results and Quarter 1 Progress Reports are scheduled to go out on November 13. Your child will have the opportunity to conference with his/her teachers about MAP scores between now and November 13.
I hope to see all of you for Middle School Conferences on Wednesday, November 15! This conference session will be “arena style,” in the Gym. All MS teachers will have a table and will be available throughout the day for individual conferences. Conference sessions begin at 8:00am and end at 3:00pm, with scattered breaks at mid-day for lunch. Conferences are most beneficial when the conversation is between parents, students and teachers, thus we ask that you bring your child to conference day.
Journeys Toward Inclusion Conference
AC is very proud to be one of the more inclusive international schools in the world. We will be learning more about how to best enhance our special learning community at the upcoming Journeys Toward Inclusion conference, hosted at AC on November 17 - 18. Friday, November 17 is a half day for students - all faculty will spend the afternoon growing professionally.
With kind regards,
Middle School Principal
