WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! Girls Soccer & Boys Basketball Capture Gold for Cotopaxi in CAISSA Tournament
Girls Soccer: The Cougars girls soccer team struck gold after scoring a first half penalty kick and outlasting ECA in the CAISSA Girls Soccer Tournament gold medal match. Coach Mario Estupiñan's lady Cougars were consistent throughout the tournament and earned well-fought gold medals. Congratulations to Coach Mario and his team!

Boys Basketball: In a dramatic fourth quarter comeback, the Cougar boys fought off a fierce ISPS team to win the gold medal match in the CAISSA Boys Basketball Tournament. Head Coach Griffin Loynes and Assistant Coach Jim Stratton called a blistering full-court press in the final minutes that turned the tide and brought the basketball gold home to Cotopaxi after three years of silver. Congratulations Coaches Loynes and Stratton and their team!

Swimming: The AC International Swim Meet concluded with swimmers collecting golds, silvers, and bronzes for AC. Several AC swimmers won medals in multiple events, and the Girls Swim Team took 3rd place overall in the team competition. |

Talent Show: Thursday, March 11, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
The stars will be onstage in the AC Auditorium Thursday evening, March 11, in the annual AC Talent Show--with proceeds going to support Habitat for Humanity. Your attendance at the Talent Show might help to build a needy family a new home! Help support your classmates, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and friends in the AC Community by coming to the Talent Show!!
Tickets will be available at the door. Come on time to get your ticket and good seats.

Teachers Teaching Teachers Conference: Friday, March 12
The first Quito international schools Teachers Teaching Teachers (TTT) Conference will take place at Academia Cotopaxi this Friday, 12 March. Over 700 participants from five international schools will take part in over 100 presentations at the TTT Conference! Cotopaxi For Habitat Tennis Tournament: Saturday & Sunday, March 13 & 14
Join us for the Cotopaxi For Habitat Tennis Tournament, to be held at the AC tennis courts on Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14. All proceeds from this event will go to the AC Class of 2010 Senior Class Project to build houses for needy Ecuadorian families through Habitat Para Humanidad Ecuador. Registration costs are $20 for singles, and $30 for doubles. Registration forms and payment are due Tuesday, March 9. Academia Cotopaxi 34th Annual International Festival: April 17, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The annual International Festival is one of Academia Cotopaxi’s important traditions, with some 2500 people participating every year. Over 25 different nationalities represent their cultural heritage in the International Festival through traditional food booths, cultural dance and music performances, traditional costumes, and games and family fun.
